Overview

I have applied for and received fellowships and grant funding during and prior to my employment at Pace. I was awarded the 2024 Book and Performance Completion Award ($5,000) from Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, Pace –PLV.

Although work outside of my probationary period (2020-25) does not factor into evaluation processes for tenure and promotion, I am including grants I was awarded prior to my appointment at Pace as an indicator of my ability to obtain funding for large-scale projects, even as an early career scholar and first-year doctoral student. As a doctoral candidate, I applied for and was awarded a Doctoral Student Academic Advancement Support Program Grant ($5,000) from Rutgers University, designed to provide additional support to doctoral candidates disproportionately impacted by COVID-19; I also applied for and was awarded a 2018 Dissertation Support Grant ($2,000) from the School of Communication and Information at Rutgers University. In 2014, I applied for and was awarded an RU@The Shore Hybrid Grant ($2,500) from the New Brunswick Office of Summer and Winter Sessions at Rutgers University; the grant was used to support the conversion of a face-to-face course into a nontraditional mixed-modality format to be partially taught at the Jersey Shore. Finally, in 2011, I applied for and was awarded a summer research fellowship ($10,000) for the study of hacktivist collectives, lulz, and affect theory under the supervision of my adviser.

I also applied for, but was not awarded, the University and Louis Bevier Dissertation Completion Fellowship from Rutgers University.

I have attached award letters, applications, and other grant documents as evidence in reverse chronological order.
